DB Systems installs Smoke Detectors designed to work with your Security System.
DB Systems does not install or service 110 volt local "non system" smoke alarms. 110 volt single or multiple station smoke alarms are not intended, nor do codes allow for them to be interfaced into a security system.
Why install system based smoke detectors rather
than multiple station 110 volt local smoke alarms?
System smoke detectors can be tested, cleaned, have their calibration verified and run reliably for many years. They can be monitored through your security system and central station to alert and dispatch the fire department in the event the detector senses smoke.
Residential fire alarm systems must be installed
and maintained according to applicable codes.
Requirements specify the number of smoke detectors, their locations, limit how long they can remain in service before being replaced etc.
